FAQs
Everything Lashe
Our Lashe Extensions have a strong pre-bonded self-adhesive strip located at the base of each cluster lash. The strip is invisible once applied to the lashes and cannot be seen. Once applied, the self-adhesive strip sticks and locks in with your natural lashes. The strip is strong and designed to hold its strength for over a week. No glue is required to be applied on your natural lashes or your Lashe Extensions, which means no damage to your natural lashes.
Cleaning and preparing your natural lashes before application is extremely important and should not be skipped. If there is any make up, dirt or oil on your natural lashes prior to application, the self-adhesive strip won't stick and your Lashe Extensions will not last or look as they should.
We highly recommend using our Cleanse & Prep Set, as it includes all tools required to clean and set your lashes before application.
Follow these three quick steps to ensure your lashes are ready to go:
1. Squeeze one pump of the Lashe Shampoo onto the Cleansing Brush. Clean your lashes in circular motion to ensure all oil, dirt and make up is removed.
2. Using the Lashe Brush, brush your lashes to ensure they are dry.
3. Curl the lashes using the Lashe Curler to set the lashes for easier application.
Applying your Lashe Extensions correctly is key to making them last longer. Don't worry if you don't get it right the first time. It can take a little while to get used to applying lashes, especially if it's your first time doing it. So don't stress if you apply it incorrectly or the lashes don't stick. They are reusable, so you can simply remove them and reapply.
Once you get used to it, applying the lashes takes less than 10 minutes. Follow these quick and easy steps to apply your Lashe Extensions:
1. Grab the Lashe Extensions at the base using the Lashe Applicator, making sure not to touch the self-adhesive strip.
2. Using the Lashe Applicatior apply the Lashe Extensions underneath your natural lashes about 1-2mm away from the waterline. HOT TIP: Overlap the lashes slightly, this will make them last longer and ensure there are no gaps.
3. Squeeze the Lashe Extensions and your lashes together to set the lashes in place (squeeze just above the self-adhesive strip, do not touch the strip).
If this is your first time applying cluster lashes yourself, it might take a little while to get used to it. However, once you get the hang of it, Lashe Extensions take less than 10 minutes to apply. That's 10 minutes per week for beautiful, healthy lash extensions instead of hours at a salon!
Lashe Extensions come in 4 different styles, each with 2 different lengths, so you can customise them any way you like.
In general, having 2 different lengths will create a more realistic natural look and having 4 different lengths will create more of a cat eye look.
For example, for a natural look you could choose the following sizes (going from outer to inner):
12, 12, 10, 10, 8
For example, for a cat-eye look you could choose the following sizes (going from outer to inner):
16, 14, 12, 10, 8
For example, for a wispy look you could choose the following sizes (going from outer to inner):
14, 12, 14, 12, 10
Each eye is different, so we recommend playing around with the styles and lengths to find your perfect look. However, if your lashes are quite weak or short, we recommend the shorter lashes, as they will hold better.
Lashe Extensions are designed to last a week, if applied correctly and the correct aftercare is followed.
Each Lashe Extensions box comes with 48 cluster lashes, which means up to 5 applications per box. The number of applications depends on how many lashes you use and your eye length, however, we see that most people use 5 cluster lashes per eye (10 per application).
As with any lash extensions, it's important to follow correct aftercare to ensure your lashes last and look amazing!
To maximise the longevity and quality of your Lashe Extensions, please follow these Aftercare Instructions:
1. Do not wet or expose your lashes to moisture (including sweat from exercise / humidity and steam) and for the first 48 hours. This allows the self-adhesive to dry and lock into place to make your lashes last longer.
2. Our lashes are designed to stay in place when in contact with moisture 48 hours after application; so showers, saunas, exercise are totally fine. However, we recommend avoiding direct contact with water or excessive pressure - such as splashing your lashes with water when washing your face, running the shower directly on your lashes, swimming underwater, etc. If they do come in contact with water, gently pat dry your lashes. You can also remove the lashes and reapply to have a fresh look again.
3. Do not apply mascara to your new Lashe Extensions (you won't need it anyway!)
4. Do not use oil-based products near your eyes (including foundation, creams, cleaners or any make up including oils).
5. Do not rub, pull or touch your Lashe extensions.
6. Do not sleep on your face. If you can't help yourself, we highly recommend checking out our Lashe Sleeping Mask to protect your lashes while you sleep.
7. Gently brush your lashes using the Lashe Brush daily to keep your lashes looking fresh (make sure not to touch the self-adhesive strip though).
8. Use the Lashe Applicator every morning and squeeze the lash extensions against your natural lashes. This will tighten the glue and lock them back into place. Squeeze just above the self-adhesive strip, do not touch the strip.
9. If any lash clusters start coming off before the 7 day period, simply reapply them back on. The lashes can be reapplied even after 7 days as the strip will still work, however, we don't recommend doing that for hygienic reasons.
10. If you have any questions or need any help, please email us at hello@lashe.com.au.
We know this may seem like a lot of information, but we promise you will get used to it the more you wear the lashes and it will become a breeze.
There could be a few reasons why your Lashe Extensions aren't staying on:
1. Oil / make up / dirt.
Make sure to clean your lashes before application. Any oil, make up and dirt will affect the self-adhesive strip.
2. Exposing lashes to water / moisture within 48 hours.
The self-adhesive strip can take up to 48 hours to dry. If exposed to water / moisture before the 48-hour mark, it will loosen the strength of the strip.
3. Sleeping on your face.
As with any lash extensions, make sure not to sleep on your face as this will rub off the extensions. Check out our Lashe Sleeping Mask to protect your lashes while you sleep.
4. Rubbing, pulling, picking your lashes.
Try to stay away from rubbing your eyes, pulling and picking your lashes as this will damage the strip.
5. Exposing your lashes to excessive water.
No lash extensions will survive excessive water without damaging your natural lashes. Be careful when showering, washing your face and swimming. If you're planning to have a fun day in the pool, we recommend removing the lashes and popping them back on afterwards.
6. Incorrect application
Make sure to follow the correct application and apply the lashes underneath your natural lashes about 1-2mm away from waterline. The clusters should overlap slightly.
7. Natural lash condition
If you have short or weakened lashes, the clusters might be too heavy. We recommend choosing either 'Natural' or 'Light Glam' styles instead or choosing the shorter lengths. If you find you're losing the outer / inner corner of lashes only, we recommend leaving a bit of space on each side to avoid weighing the lashes down.
Yes! Lashe Extensions are extremely safe. They are hand-made out of quality materials, are hypoallergenic and cruelty free. They do not include cyanocrylate, formaldehyde or latex (these are harsh chemicals that can irritate sensitive eyes).
Lashe Extensions do not require any glue to be applied, which minimises the risk of irritation, as well as allows the lashes to grow underneath your lash extensions.
They are suitable for all eyes and lashes. However, if you do have weakened or short lashes, we do recommend starting off with our lighter styles (Naturals and Light Glam) as they are lighter in weight and won't weight down your lashes. As your lashes get thicker and longer (due to no more glue on your natural lashes), you can then move onto the fuller styles.
Please keep in mind that like all cosmetics, depending on the sensitivity level of your eyes, there is still the possibility that your eyes may become irritated or react to our products so please ensure you do a patch test before use.
Lashe Extensions are reusable as the adhesive strip works even if the lashes are removed. This makes them perfect if you only like to wear lashes on weekends or for special occasions.
The lashes can be reapplied up to 3 times. If you lose any lashes within 7 days, you can simply apply it back on. Even though you can reuse your lashes past the 7-day mark, we don't recommend it for hygienic reasons.
Each box has up to 5 applications, which is about 5 weeks of wear. We recommend changing your lashes once a week for fresh, salon quality look everyday. That's only ten minutes a week for a beautiful look.
Removing the Lashe Extensions is super easy and you only need your Lashe Applicator, however, you can use an oil-based make up remover or cleanser to make the removal super easy and quick.
1. Grab one Lashe Extension at a time and gently pull, avoiding your natural lashes. Tip: Insert the Applicator between your natural lashes and Lashe extensions and gently pull.
2. Once done, cleanse your lashes using your Lashe cleanser.
3. Put the Lashe Extensions back in the box and reuse as you like (we don't recommend reusing them after 7-days of continuous wear for hygienic reasons).
